Damon Eller and his #I4 team invaded Georgia and Tennessee over the weekend for a trio of Dirt Late Model events! On Friday, March 16, Damon was in action for the first time in his young career at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia. The Crumpler, North Carolina native qualified well for the $3,000 to win unsanctioned event and wound up finishing eighth in the final rundown of the A-Main. On Saturday evening, the action turned to the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee. Due to the ultra-rough track conditions for this year's version of the 'Shamrock 60,' Damon encountered some mechanical troubles and did not make the $7,500 to win feature event.

On Sunday, March 18, Damon turned in his best performance of the young 2007 racing season at the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee! He was third quickest in qualifying for the $3,000 to win Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series show and later won his dash to earn the outside pole position for the A-Main. In only his second ever visit to the high-banks of the "Taz," Damon drove his #I4 MasterSbilt / Jay Dickens machine to an impressive runner-up finish behind winner Jimmy Owens.

The Independence Lumber Racing team will travel to Mississippi and Alabama this coming weekend to compete in a pair of 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows. On Saturday night, March 24, a $10,000 to win event will be held at Johnny Stokes' Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Damon was in action a couple of weeks ago at the Columbus speedplant and registered a pair of strong sixth place finishes. On Sunday evening, March 25, the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction a $7,000 to win show at the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
