The Independence Lumber Racing team competed in a pair of 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows over the weekend in Mississippi and Alabama! On Saturday, March 24, Damon Eller invaded the Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for a $10,000 to win event. After timing in twenty-third fastest in qualifying and finishing fifth in his heat race, Damon earned a transfer position into the 50-lap A-Main by virtue of his second place run in the B-Main. The Crumpler, North Carolina native then rolled off twentieth for the feature at the "Baddest Bullring in the South" and eventually recorded a twenty-first place finish after being involved in a wreck at the famed Columbus oval.

The #I4 team then traveled to the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Sunday, March 25 for a $7,000 to win 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series event. Damon qualified twenty-second fastest in time trials and later posted a fourth place effort in his heat race, which enabled him to start from the outside of the seventh row for the 40-lap A-Main. Damon was able to gain three spots throughout the course of the feature event en route to a solid eleventh place performance in the final rundown.

The Independence Lumber Racing team is set to tackle the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana this coming Saturday, March 31 for the tenth annual running of the 'Indiana Icebreaker.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the $10,000 to win event, which will feature a complete show highlighted by a 75-lap A-Main. Damon is running for the coveted Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year award in '07, so a strong run at Brownstown would go a long way in solidifying his position in the point standings. He is currently leading the Rookie standings by forty markers heading into Saturday's show at the south-central Indiana oval.
