Damon Eller Heads to Ohio Following Tripleheader Weekend in Georgia

(CRUMPLER, NORTH CAROLINA) Damon Eller and his #I4 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Peachtree State of Georgia from April 3-6 for a trio of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. Things kicked off for the Independence Lumber Racing team on Thursday, April 3 at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia. Damon finished eleventh in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main, but was able to take use of a series provisional to gain access into the $7,000 to win A-Main. After starting twenty-fourth on the grid for the 30-lap feature event, Damon passed six cars en route to an eighteenth place performance.

The next two shows over the weekend did not go as planned for the Crumpler, North Carolina-based team. Damon failed to make the starting field for the $10,000 to win A-Main on Friday, April 4 at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia after running tenth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main. Following a rain-out on Saturday, April 5 at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia, the $10,000 to win event took place on Sunday at GIS. Damon once again could not make his way into the main event on Sunday after finishing sixth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main.

The Independence Lumber Racing team has one lone event on their upcoming weekend schedule, as the #I4 team will trek to the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday night, April 12 for the 'Glockner 50.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the $10,000 to win event on Saturday and the cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape all of the dirt-slinging action for broadcast later in the year.
