The Independence Lumber Racing team invaded the Thunder Valley Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina on Friday night, April 27 for a $4,000 to win Carolina Clash Late Model Series show. Damon Eller was able to make his way into the feature event by virtue of a strong qualifying effort. In the $4,000 to win A-Main, Damon was forced to ride in line for most of the race, as the racing surface was not conducive to much passing. The Crumpler, North Carolina native wound up finishing seventh in the final rundown of the feature event. For complete results from this race, please access www.carolinaclash.com!

The #I4 team then traveled north to the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday evening, April 28. After a two hour rain delay, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials decided to scrap qualifying in favor of a pill draw to determine heat race lineups. Damon drew a bad number and started at the tail of one of the six heat races. Unfortunately, he could not pass enough cars in the heat race and the consolation event to gain access into the $10,000 to win feature event. However, Damon is still tied for the lead in the heated Rookie of the Year battle for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series following the Hagerstown race. Damon and his #I4 team will be back in action this coming weekend at the pristine Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky for the annual '99.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the third annual event and a $24,999 payday awaits the winner of the 99-lap A-Main on Saturday, May 5. Qualifying and heat race action will take place at the southwest Kentucky oval on Friday evening, while the consolation events and the '99' are slated for Saturday.
