Damon Eller and his #I4 team are set to invade Alabama and Mississippi this coming weekend for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events! They will tackle the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Friday night, July 13 for a $7,000 to win race. The Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi will then play host to a $10,000 to win show on Saturday evening, July 14. The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand Saturday at the "Baddest Bullring in the South" to tape all of the exciting action for broadcast later in the year. For more information on these events, please access www.lucasdirt.com! The Independence Lumber Racing team traveled to the Volunteer State of Tennessee for two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events last weekend. On Friday night, July 6, the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee played host to a $10,000 to win series race. Damon finished ninth in his heat race and seventh in the B-Main, but received a series provisional to gain access into the 75-lap feature event. After rolling off twenty-fourth for the A-Main on Friday evening, the Crumpler, North Carolina native was able to pass seven cars en route to a seventeenth place performance. On Saturday, July 7, the action turned to the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee for yet another $10,000 to win show. Unfortunately for the #I4 team, Damon finished twelfth in both his heat race and his consolation event and could not advance to the feature event. However, Damon still finds himself ninth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings and second in the Rookie of the Year battle following the weekend.
