Damon Eller Strong at Friendship and Wythe; Takes Upcoming Weekend Off!

(CRUMPLER, NORTH CAROLINA) Damon Eller and his #I4 team were strong in recent days during Dirt Late Model action in North Carolina and Virginia. On Saturday night, July 12, the Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina played host to a $4,000 to win Carolina Clash Late Model Series race. Damon qualified twelfth fastest in time trials, which locked him into the sixth row for the A-Main. The Crumpler, North Carolina native was then able to work his #I4 MasterSbilt past six cars during the feature en route to a strong sixth place performance behind winner Ricky Weeks, Benji Cole, Randle Chupp, Luke Roffers, and Ed Gibbons.

Next up for the Independence Lumber Racing team was the $3,500 to win O'Reilly Southern Nationals Series opener on Monday, July 14 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. Damon timed in tenth quickest in qualifying and later rolled off from the outside of the fifth row for the 35-lap main event. He was able to get up to the seventh spot before losing four positions in the final five laps to finish eleventh in the final rundown.
