Damon Eller and his #I4 team traveled to Illinois and Missouri last weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for a pair of $10,000 to win shows. On Friday, July 20, Damon finished fifth in his heat race at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois to earn a coveted starting spot in the 50-lap A-Main. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras, the Crumpler, North Carolina native drove his #I4 MasterSbilt / Jay Dickens machine to a fourteenth place performance.

On Saturday, Damon and the rest of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars invaded the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Damon qualified well and later ran fourth in his competitive heat race. After starting sixteenth on the grid for the 50-lapper, he wound up finishing twenty-second in the final rundown of the A-Main. Following the pair of series events, Damon is still ninth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings and second in the Rookie of the Year battle. The Independence Lumber Racing team will tackle a busy schedule this coming week, as the team plans to enter five O'Reilly Southern Nationals Series events in the Volunteer State of Tennessee! Their ultra-busy week will kick off tonight, July 23 at the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee and a $3,500 top prize is up for grabs.
